Good fun and comradery was had by all!
Contestants came from all parts of the Big Island, Oahu and the mainland.
The contest Grand Champion was won by Chris Ford, the Grand Champion
of last year's 26th Annual World Bodysurfing Championships in Oceanside,
California.
The Contest Coordinator, Tom Mader of Puako also lives in Santa Cruz, CA
and Bobb Lawrence of Kona was Chief Judge again.
Special thanks to the Blue Dolphin Restaurant, Hapuna Prince,
Hilton Waikoloa, Kawaihae Harbor Grill, Lawrence Appraisal Group,
Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Roberts Hawaii, Seafood Bar and all those who helped
to make this 2003 Big Island Bodysurfing Championships a fun-filled event!
The 7th Annual Contest will be held again next February.
